It's mornings like this when I think about all the times I beat myself up because I missed a training run or shorted myself a mile that I make it all up to myself. I'm up an hour before sunrise eating breakfast, getting ready for my 8 miler. Lacing on my shoes over my first blister of the year.
This morning, I'm not the sad little 90 lb weakling that I used to beat up anymore, am I?
Yes, I might not always have the dedication that it takes to do this. But when it's there...when I need it...it feels good.
